The olive trees leaned close to hear
As Jesus bowed to pray
The Savior on His knees was saying
"Father, have Your way
I want this cup to pass from Me"
In agony He moaned
But His brokenness had to be
For He had always known

The suffering of the cross
Lay before Him
His blood would be demanded
To pay the price for sin

He was bruised, He was scourged
He was crushed beyond belief
Sent to die for our shame
Bear the wеight of all our grief
As the prophets prophеsied
He was beaten and so marred
But the only thing broken

Then he washed His hands
Jesus would be crucified
To quiet their demands
