Christmas Train

Christmas train, everybody’s throwing parties
Wrapping presents making ribbons curl
Loaned my ugly sweater to the neighbor kid in college
He brought a college a girl
I remember how that was a thrill

I wish I was up to my knees in powder
Long blue shadows in a winter wonderland
Everybody singing Feliz Navidad
This train slows down
But it never stops

Same traditions every Christmas
Add them up and so much has changed
In the photo album I look a lot different
In my head I’m still the same
Some things lost and some things gained

Now we’re a family up to our knees in powder
