Waiting (feat. The Grove Jesus Music)

Bradley Jones, Sheri Thrower

Since I was a kid I had these visions of the stage lights
At my show fans screaming while I'm on the mic
Play my music in the car and they know every line
But things don't always go the way you planned and that's life
Aint gonna lie its messed up what a man will do
They Tell you they ride or die but really they just lie to you
Stab you in the back just to make a buck or two
Then take everything you worked for right out from under you
Made it to college but I made the choice drop out
Working jobs so I could put food in my daughter's mouth
Grew up poor so I told my girl without a doubt
I'll work myself into the ground my kids will never go without
I'm older now and i wonder if it's too late
Lights fade with every candle on the birthday cake
But when I hear the beat the dream inside me starts to wake
Start the track I gotta get it no more time to waste

Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting
Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting, tired of waiting, tired of waiting

As artists we're always told to be ourselves
But when we are they start comparing us to someone else
You put your heart into your art like it was show and tell
Then cowards on the internet say you should kill yourself
Fame's a very different creature than I thought it was
You give it everything you have and still it's not enough
Love making music but sharing it is really tough
Cuz bad things always seem to happen when I open up
Sometimes the thoughts in my head make me scared of me
But I'm growing up this music is my therapy
I used to drive around for hours stereo blaring
Screaming every lyric didn't care if people stared at me
Making music all my life and I want people to play it
Got a dream I'll drop a record and the world will embrace it
See my videos and hear me on the radio stations
Outta Patience, I'ma chase this dream and I'm gonna take it

Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting
Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting, tired of waiting, tired of waiting

These are the thoughts in my mind on the daily
Wasting my time hearing these people hating
Spent most my life getting knocked to the pavement
They don't know what they were stirring up when I was shaken
Challenge me, come pick up the microphone I dare you
You don't wanna see inside in my head cuz it would scare you
I'mma do this my way, got nothing to compare it to
Thank God for the struggles, He said look how I prepared you
Nobody gonna stop me this my destiny
Had a lifetime of these haters who be testing me
Leaving all these rappers mad when they step to me
I burn em up like I was messing up a recipe
Started to be the artist that I wanted to be
Not the artist that I thought these people wanted to see
All these copies Spittin lyrics so repetitively
I Stick to what I know, nobody know me better than me

Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting
Gotta make it I'm tired of Waiting, tired of waiting, tired of waiting
