How It Is
Angus Whitington
Another day, another headline
I hang my head and sigh
With how it is
This city's getting violent
Armoured trucks to keep them silent's
How it is
Divisive demonstration
Mass oppression
Bend the rules at your own risk
And these four walls
Don't see what's coming, no
Cause ignorance is nothing new to this
Still, I know this storm will go
And love will grow
And we could put the world to rights
Another lie, another normal
Tell me why we should accept
That's how it is
All these puppets and pretenders
Pulled by strings of mixed agendas
Look how it is
But I hear sounds under the surface
Loud enough to drown the empty promises
Just have faith, enough to rise above
And know that we're the ones
With more to give
