Prism
Alondra Bentley
You are a little see-through object
Reflecting a ray of light
You hang in a corner next to the window
Making the dark so bright
When the sun goes down
Rainbows all around
Red, orange, yellow, green and blue and indigo and violet
Red, orange, yellow, green and blue
Happens at sunset every evening
Between the day and night
Echoed reflections over the kitchen
Kaleidoscopic sight
The colors on the floor are spelling the words I heard you say
No one is really here therefore nobody truly goes away.
