Survivor
We are the guardians of this life
Only with our little seeds for a while
Take it or leave it the Earth has run dry
And I was once hopeful that we'd all survive
There's a new dawn in history's page don't you know
Your legacy stands with the oats that you sow
Little children washed up on the shore finding home
This world is much smaller than you'll ever know
Well I'm a survivor don't you know
The lost and the weary, let's find them a home
Born in the slums of a holy war
The path to survival through a blood-stained door
And the lands that prosper are over the sea
And the liberty values have washed over me
And this little child asleep in his flock
Drowned like a stone by the people who mock
And the chances are thin for the people near sin
So open your borders and let them all in
We are the survivors don't you know
The lost and the weary let's find them a home
We are the survivors don't you know
Let us gather these children and bring them back home
Love conquers hatred and famine and war
One simple lesson that we can't ignore
